Are you getting married and already worried about your bridal party looks?

There are a few things, I think, that are really important to keep in mind (just from the style angle).

Colors, fabrics, silhouettes, your wedding theme/time of year

All your bridesmaids probably have different body types. So putting everyone in the same dress means that everyone won’t look their best.

Same goes for the colors.

A few reasons this matters:

1.. These are your wedding photos you’re going to have forever.

2...You want everyone in your party to look and feel their best.

3. You want your girls to be happy up there, supporting you, and not feeling like they have to buy some ugly dress they don’t like.

4. You still want to be the focal point of all the photos.

5.. Not everyone has a great sense of fashion and some people need guidance. It’s not personal, and you can ask for what you want. It’s YOUR day!

But I understand wanting things to look cohesive and like a true bridal party, not just a bunch of your friends standing around with you.

A few things I can recommend to help with this:

1. Get a clear idea of how you want things to look.

2. Hire a stylist to consult you and help pick silhouettes and colors (within your palette, but your stylist can help with that too) that’ll work for everyone.

3. Having a third party makes calls like that, takes the pressure off you.

4. It’s ok to give guidance and tell your girls what you’d like, while also keeping their style and best looks in mind.

5. I think finding a few, similar, silhouettes that work for your party, while also sticking to a small color palette will give you that cohesion and still have everyone looking their best!

6. It’s always easier to stray out and bring in some wild card colors and styles, if you so choose. But having a tight palette and silhouettes to start will make this easier.

7. Plus we really want you to be the star of the show!

This should be a magical and fun time for you. And your bridal party is a big part of that. You want their love and support to help make this day so special.

Best,

Tami Sofia
