✨ FINDING JOY ✨
Part 2
Change
We all know by now that change is inevitable.
I love that quote “The only constant in life, is change.” - Heraclitus
It’s so true. And with that, we all still struggle with change.
In this process of “Finding Joy” (I put that in quotes, because I know the joy is within me, but I’m just finding my way through things), I have found that I am a creature of habit and change really can scare me and it also might be what I need the most.
● I’ve put my gym memberships on hold (the one thing I do religiously every morning).
● I’m forcing myself to get outdoors for my morning activities.
● I’m saying nightly prayers, out loud.
● I’m allowing myself to feel my feelings. Right or wrong, I need to let them out. And allow myself to feel what I need, without judgment. We’re our own worst critic.
● Checking and seeing why these feelings are coming up. What’s the deeper root of these feelings?
● Pushing myself to do the things that have been on my checklist for months and I always postpone.
I feel like I’ve gotten soft in my older age hahah. I used to work 2 jobs and go to school full time. And I worked out, slept, ate food, made it to friend’s birthdays, etc. I know my days look very different now.
And I’m good with a lot of it. But I’m also channeling younger me, that got things done towards her goals. And that alone is bringing me joy.
I know these past 2 newsletters haven’t been about Fashion and Styling. And that stuff brings me SO much Joy.
But I really wanted to take a minute and highlight that I know it’s not everything.
Thank you for following along. I hope something has made an impact on you. And I hope you’re enjoying the journey! Your journey... and mine I guess haha.
If you feel called to share your journey, day, moment, whatever. Please do. I’ve been using the #FindingJoy if you’d like to join in.
I’ll be back next week with our regularly scheduled programming of Styling and Fashion information.
Best,
Tami Sofia
