Thrifting Tips
Know your measurements.
Take a tape measure with you.
Have a list of what you’re looking for (be detailed).
ex: If you want cardigans, state if you want cropped, longer lengths, fitted, loose, thin or chunky, list the colors you’d like.
Expect to just “look” your first time. Treat it as research. Thrifting is so fun because there’s always only 1 of 1. But you can also see how that’ll make it hard to find exactly what you want, sometimes, in your size.
Which brings me to tailoring. If you find a gem, but it needs to be hemmed, or the bust is a little big, don’t dismiss it right away. Tailoring is always a great option and doesn’t have to be expensive.
Wear something that’s easy to try things on over. I usually aim for leggings and a fitted tank top, or a slip dress, and sandals.
Make a list of shops you wanna check out.
Sometimes the first stop is uneventful and you wanna keep going.
And if the first stop is great, then you can save the other shops for your next shopping trip.
Hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have any questions.
