Converse in 3 Unexpected Ways

Converse are the ultimate hack for staying comfortable while still looking cute. This post is all about reimaging your converse, going beyond the usual jeans, leggings, or shorts.

Don't take it too seriously …

OUTFIT #1:

  • Flouncy printed skirt

  • Flow femme textured top

  • Nude studded crossbody bag

  • White Converse

For the first look, I took a printed short skirt and paired it with a textured flowy top. I kept the colors in the same color palette to balance out the variety in textures and prints. The bright colors keep things light and easy, making this outfit the perfect candidate for converse.

Balance it out …

OUTFIT #2:

  • Floral printed wrap dress

  • White bag with gold chain

  • Gold watch

  • White converse

For this look, I chose a beautiful blue floral printed wrap dress. Wrap dresses are flattering on so many different body types and feel stylish without much effort. The cut of a wrap dress feels feminine and edgy at the same time. On the same note, I added a white purse with a gold chain to dress things up a bit while bringing in the Converse to make the look feel a bit more lax. I finished the look off with some gold jewelry, because who doesn't love a touch of gold.

When in doubt ... denim jacket

OUTFIT #3:

  • Striped cropped tank

  • Gold pleated maxi skirt

  • Vintage clutch

  • White Converse

I love love love how a denim jacket and converse can instantly pull together almost any look. This look was super fun to create because I brought some new life to a skirt that is usually "too dressy" for everyday use. By pairing the skirt with a simple striped cropped cami, I set the foundation for the denim jacket and converse. Who doesn't love an outfit that looks and feels this good?

Skirts, dresses, and your most sophisticated accessories, there’s no territory unfit for a good pair of Converse. There’s just something about pairing your more formal pieces with Converse, that screams idgaf, in a boss b*tch kinda way. I highly recommend experimenting outside your usual t-shirt and jeans to see what you can come up with! Don’t forget to let me know how it goes in the comments below!
