How to pick out the right outfit for your day
(even if you’re not a morning person)
This is one thing I practice often.
I lay out clothes the night before. You tend to be more optimistic about what you will wear, the day before.
For one, I almost always layout my workout clothes the night before. Just to give me a leg up, in those early morning hours. Actually, I usually prepare a few days of workout outfits in advance.
Second, especially for workdays, I try to plan my outfit the night before too. I have a little more bandwidth, for creativity, I check the weather, etc. And nothing feels rushed, like it does in the morning.
I think about my day…
√ What will I be doing? (comfort level, activity level, etc.)
√ Who will be there? (important clients, etc.)
√ Will I be inside or outside?
√ What’s the weather like?
√ Are layers necessary?
I take all my criteria and pull together the most functional outfit, and lay everything out. Jacket, shoes, socks, accessories, everything.
And funny enough this evening outfit planning makes my mornings not rushed and I feel even more ready for work!
This is such a simple task but it makes a big difference in my mood. And any little thing that can help me be in a better mood, is important to me.
