Before you pack away those winter clothes, ask yourself if they are still worth keeping…

The inclination to just pack it all up and bring out the spring clothes is real. Spring is fun and fresh and you’re ready for that bright pick-me-up!

But… before we jump to just packing everything up, let’s quickly just see if it’s all stuff we wanna keep.

  • Did you even wear it this past fall/winter season? If not, it probably should go. Pass it along to a friend that may love it and use it more than you. If you’re feeling really stuck on it. Pack it with the winter stuff, but put it on top with a note, that it’s a “maybe” and you need to give it one more try.

  • Make sure nothing needs any repairs before packing it away. Did you have a button missing? A broken zipper? Anything that needed to be tended to, before you pack it away. That way, when you bring them back out next year, you know it’s ready to wear.

  • Is this item past repair (for you)? Donate it to somewhere that will tend to those repairs and make it new again. Not for you, but for the next owner.

  • If it needs to be dry cleaned, get it done now and then pack it up!

  • Be sure to pack some cedar blocks in with any of your wool, cashmere, angora sweaters to keep them fresh and moth free!

Happy Packing and Resetting! If you have any questions, always feel free to email or DM me.
